*The word “Wode” is an Old English or Middle English term that means “mad” or “furious.” It was often used to describe someone in a state of rage or madness. In literature, especially medieval texts, “wode” would indicate intense emotions, often related to anger or frenzy. For example, in Middle English literature, such as in the works of Chaucer or medieval ballads, you might encounter phrases like “wode as the sea,” meaning as wild or uncontrollable as the sea. In a historical or literary context, “wode” can also evoke imagery of wildness or savagery.
Are we mad, furious, wild, uncontrollable, ready for savagery?
